About Marcia

I’m a Boilermaker; no, not the drink but a graduate of Purdue University in the field of food and nutrition. I completed a dietetic internship at the Indiana University Medical Center and earned a master’s degree in education with a minor in psychology. I’ve worked in practically every field of dietetics. Throughout my professional career I’ve always been a teacher and often times a writer, so I find myself combining both here. Please join me as we peruse the day’s headlines, food trends, and general craziness that the subject of nutrition has turned into over the past decade. I’m glad you’re here to spend a minute!

Bravo Marcia and all the best with your new venture. The chicken stir-fry sounds great – I will try it. we are fortunate here in Northern Michigan – we are surrounded with lovely farmer’s markets plus the opportunity to buy fresh eggs, plus good chicken and fish. There is even a farm here that sells its own lamb. And the corn, blueberries, tomatoes, peaches, green beans right now – Yum! We can even go to a nearby blueberry farm and pick our supply. Needless to say, Don and I are turning blue!

Have a great rest of summer – Joan
